Day use area and campground with amazing Mt. Hood Views
Located just outside of government camp, this is a very popular day use and campground area with an amazing view of mount hood. If you want to claim a spot on the water’s edge (or really any spot at all), plan on getting here early. You can drive right up to the lake so no hike is needed here.
There are a number of restaurants and bars in Government Camp. We recommend checking out Charlie's Mountain View for the 21+ crowd.
